Biography
The Eight Sharp for Korah were born in December 2008 from the combination of a well established roman jazz trio headed by three experienced musicians and two younger talents. The Eight Sharp Jazz Trio, made up of a saxophone, a keyboard and a bass in their original lineup, has been active since 2006 with a standard jazz repertoire revisited in a slow key. They have participated in several musical youth festival including GiovanInConcerto, an event sponsored by the City of Rome, where they found excellent reviews by audience and press. In 2007 they worked on arrangements and production for the soundtrack for the musical Of angels and devils represented at Auditorium Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina. In 2008 they took care of the music on the poetic texts of John Paul II as part of events in memory of the Holy Father organized by Diocesan of Palestrina, and is still firmly committed to live jazz events in clubs of the capital and the province. In late 2008 Eight Sharp For Korah were founded, such a rich and demanding project, with the collaboration of Paolo De Sanctis and the young Francesco Tomassi.

Luca Di Matteo (alto saxophone / clarinet): Born in Alessandria, 1984: graduated at Santa Cecilia’s Conservatorio in Rome, is among the board of directors of Associazione Musicale Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina. He performed with many young orchestras, such as the Orchestra dei Giovani di Roma in Santa Cecilia. In 2007 was leading clarinet in the Gendarmerie’s musical band in Vatican City. He earned a BS in management engineering in La Sapienza University in Rome. |

Costantino Vetere (voice / keyboards): Born in Rome, 1985: since he was a child, he took part with huge success to many national and international contests for singers, winning the Disney Fastival Paris in 1995. He studied piano and singing in Università della Musica in Rome, and is artistically active in many areas, such as animation, pianobar and breakdance. He earned a BA in philosophy in La Sapienza University in Rome. |
Francesco Tomassi (guitars) Born in Rome, 1991: he played guitar since he was a child, taking lessons in classical, acoustic and rock development areas. He plays with Merryslave. |

Gabriele Alese: (bass guitar) Born in Rome, 1985: he studied electric bass with Saverio Capo, and played with many different bands, working as sessionist. He earned a BA in philosophy in La Sapienza University in Roma. |
Paolo de Sanctis (drums) Born in Rome, 1987: he’s the leading percussionist in Gendarmerie’s musical band in Vatican City, and he also performs in the musical band of the Palestrina municipality. He already performed with Eight Sharp jazz trio. |
