Eight Sharp for Korah is a musical project aiming towards a modern reading of the Psalms' wisdom, along the lines of the outstanding success of the Sons of Korah project. Based upon a pre-existing jazz trio, Eight Sharp, and thanks to the joint efforts of other two young talents, Eight Sharp for Korah gives a new, minimalistic taste to the sacred and saecular tradition of the Old Testament, with a typical contemporary lineup which gives the members freedom to express their individual sensibilities; the meditation upon the biblical texts emerges both in italian and english language, with various ermeneutical criteria: from textual fidelity to free adaptation of sources other than the Revelation, such as the poems of the young Karol Wojtyla. Every Eight Sharp for Korah member comes from different educative and cultural contexts, and their union is the source for the vitality and strength of the band.
